Description | Project NEXUS is a flagship initiative by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) aimed at transforming the agency into a best-in-class regulator and accelerating Nigeria's push to become Africa's energy hub. The project targets national production goals of 3 million barrels per day of crude oil and 22 billion cubic feet per day of gas within the decade. It includes regulatory reforms, infrastructure investments in pipeline revamps, oil refining, gas processing, and gas-based industries, and promotes sustainability through carbon footprint reduction, blue hydrogen development, and carbon capture technologies. |
