Description | Project Nova Point plans to construct a renewable natural gas plant on approximately 40 acres of property at Stearns Kelly Park in the Attalia area. The plant will supply gas to utilities and biogenic CO2 to the food sector using wheat straw. The facility is projected to employ 24 to 40 full-time employees and create additional jobs in the straw contracting business. There are plans to expand the facility after it has been commissioned and running for 12 months, potentially requiring more land. The first facility will handle 100,000 tons of straw per year, sourced from local farms. |
