Description | Google is moving forward with its plan for a data center campus called 'Project Peanut' in Chesterfield County, Virginia. The project involves building nearly 856,000 square feet of data facilities on a 300-acre site at 2700 Bermuda Hundred Road next to Meadowville Technology Park. It is part of Google's $9 billion investment in Virginia's artificial intelligence infrastructure through the end of 2026. The multiphase project will include three data center buildings, each about 285,000 square feet, and 345 parking spaces on campus. Construction is slated to start at the end of 2025 and is expected to take around 18 to 24 months to complete. |
