The project aims to produce battery-grade lithium carbonate directly from brine using EnergyX's proprietary GET-Lit DLE technology. The plant targets an annual production of 30,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) with a total capital investment of approximately $400 million in two phases. Phase 1 focuses on deploying DLE extraction circuits leveraging Compass Minerals' existing brine infrastructure, while Phase 2 involves constructing the full lithium carbonate refinery. |
