Description | Infinium is constructing the world's largest electrofuel refinery called Project Roadrunner in east Texas. The refinery will use electricity from 100% renewable sources and waste carbon dioxide to produce zero-carbon electrofuel, a sustainable replacement for fossil fuels in diesel and jet engines. The project will produce 7.6 million gallons of sustainable aviation fuel and other e-fuel products, with fuel customers including American Airlines Group Inc. and IAG. The refinery is converting an existing gas-to-liquid refinery near Pecos, Texas, and is expected to start delivering fuel in 2027. The project has secured 150 megawatts of wind-generated electrical capacity through a long-term power purchase agreement. |
