Project Ruby is a proposed hyperscale data center to be built on 865 acres in northeastern Muscogee County, Georgia, bordering Harris County and Talbot County. The data center would consist of four buildings located toward the eastern side of the site, near high-voltage transmission lines and a power substation, occupying about 15% of the site. The project includes a multiyear capital investment totaling more than $5.18 billion, covering land acquisition, building construction, and equipment installation between 2027 and 2030. It is expected to generate escalating annual property tax revenue and create 195 jobs with salaries ranging from $80,000 to $120,000 per year. The developers include Georgia-based Habitat Real Estate Partners and Atlas Development, with the end user being one of the 'Big 5' hyperscalers: Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Meta, or Apple.
