Project Sangam is an integrated watershed initiative by Vedanta Aluminium in Odisha's Kalahandi district. It enables irrigation across more than 800 acres of farmland, benefiting over 9,000 people in 41 villages. The project involves the development of 61 water structures to recharge over 11 lakh cubic meters of water, improving groundwater availability and ensuring sustained water access for farming and domestic use. It focuses on the revival of traditional water bodies, creation of sustainable irrigation infrastructure, and efficient capture of monsoon runoff to replenish groundwater tables and reduce dependence on erratic rainfall.
