Promoting access to vocational training

The aim of the FZ module is to improve access to and the quality of training at vocational training institutions in Namibia. For this reason, existing capacities in four vocational training institutions - two state-run Vocational Training Centres (VTC) and two Community Centres (CC) - will be expanded and modernised through structural measures and the acquisition and installation of new equipment for the workshops. In addition, trainers and teachers will be trained. The aim of the project is to improve access to high-quality vocational training opportunities in the selected sectors for the target group. The target group are people who are looking for vocational training - in particular school dropouts and young people who are not completing tertiary education and are not in permanent employment. These are mainly young people from poor or disadvantaged households.
