"The project PACT is expecting to promote exchanges between citizens of three different countries, Italy, Portugal, and Croatia, and encourage cooperation among municipalities on a crucial topic such as environmental sustainability. The municipalities involved will work together locally and during the international event by boosting the inclusion of their citizens in all activities. The project is expected to: - increase capacities/knowledge of LA in dealing with environmental policies and Eu strategies - empower citizens about the importance of a sustainable lifestyle - increase awareness on the impact of agriculture on the environment - enhance the dialogue between municipalities/cities and the EU institutions thanks to the use of the platform of the Conference on the Future of Europe. The objectives will be achieved by realizing some raising awareness activities and, in the specific, during the international exchange that will be realized in the Municipality of Belfiore. The project wants to involve small rural municipalities and give them a space to discuss and say their opinion about climate and environmental transition and possible actions that can be undertaken by Local Authorities and citizens. At the local and international level a part of activities will be dedicated to promote the ""Conference on the Future of Europe"" platform, and open a wider debate on ""Climate Change and Environment"". The project target citizens, having a specific focus on youth and on involving primary and secondary schools in the activities because we believe in the urgency and need of talking about environmental issues and act in an adequate way, since the beginning of the educational path. This project will improve a sense of belonging to the European Union between municipalities and promote citizens' engagement both at local and EU level in order to increase their awareness about environmental issues and to promote a sustainable lifestyle."
