Description | The project PRISMA aims to develop a multi-agency and multi-disciplinary cooperation mechanism among Early Childhood Local Care Communities practitioners in order to improve prevention, early detection, protection and response to adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and to promote positive and caring parental relationships in Italy. Projects activities are aimed at addressing the reported weaknesses. Mutual learning workshops among professionals in the selected locations will be delivered in order to design the ECLCCs safeguarding and protection systems, shared standards, operational procedures and tools. To Improve the effectiveness of professionals to prevent, detect and respond to adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) in children from 0 to 6 years old, trainings on ACEs, training of trainers on child safeguarding systems and positive education will be delivered to practitioners. (320 practitioners will be trained). 4 regional awareness raising seminars and 1 national final conference will be held to disseminate the project results, and promote the scale up of the model experimented in others locations and regions (500 participants). The project aims to respond to the needs of beneficiaries (professionals and families). In particular as a result of project activities, in the short term, professionals will enhance their capacities to prevent, identify, detect and respond to adverse childhood experiences and to provide a multidisciplinary and child centred care. Child safeguarding and protection systems will be strengthened by producing shares standards, operational procedures and tools. Both in short and long term perspective early childhood practitioners, families and care givers will increase their awareness of on how to promote safe, stable, nurturing relationships and environments to foster child resilience and to make a sound difference in children’s lives. |
