Description

The aim of the project is to contribute to supporting Serbia's economic growth through a sustainably improved range of financial services in rural areas. The target group are micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) that want to invest in rural Serbia. They should be supported in making investments, increasing their competitiveness and creating alternative income opportunities in rural areas. The project sponsors will be selected private Serbian partner financial institutions that should achieve the following module objectives: 1. Full allocation of funds within 3 years of signing the loan agreement. 2. At least 20% of the loans to final borrowers will be granted in so-called central Serbia (western Serbia and Sumadija, southern and eastern Serbia). 3. The proportion of longer-term loans (with a term of > 1 year) that are suitable for investment is at least 75%.
