Objectives Protecting the RoL through support for the independence, accountability & quality of of the judiciaries in Europe and promote understanding of and respect for judicial independence Promote access to justice in a digital age for the benefit of all citizens in the EU Strengthen mutual trust among the judiciaries of EU Expected results Up-to-date insight on the state of the independence and accountability in EU Increased understanding of the perceived independence of judges in the EU Increased awareness on the quality of EU judiciaries and the role of the Councils Increased awareness of the need to develop Quality framework within the national judiciaries Increased awareness of the need for and means to measure court user satisfaction Improved European dialogue between state powers; Improved knowledge on which actions to undertake to increase public confidence; and Improved image of the Judiciary.
