Promoting Innovative Financial Inclusion Program

Core problem Covid-19 is slowing down global trade and having a negative impact on the economic strength of most countries, including Indonesia. This particularly affects population groups that already had difficult access to the financial sector before the pandemic. Objective The sector program (PIFIP) aims to support the Republic of Indonesia in improving the financial inclusion of women, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and other previously disadvantaged population groups. To this end, loans from ADB and KfW are to be made available as part of a reform program. The implementation of PIFIP is linked to the implementation of a large number of individual reforms. Key outputs 1) Establishment and expansion of innovative digital infrastructure and service programs to increase financial inclusion; 2) Improved access to financial products for previously disadvantaged population groups and MSMEs; 3) Improved supervision and consumer protection in the sense of responsible financial inclusion Target group The project aims to primarily support women, MSMEs in rural areas and other disadvantaged population groups.
