Description

The project’s objectives are: fighting post-employment discrimination of Roma and supporting their inclusion at the workplace, supporting local authorities in implementing existing anti-discrimination legislation and policies for Roma inclusion in the field of housing and facilitating efforts to better inform Roma of their rights and for accessing social housing. The activities include data collection and research, guides’ development, trainings of professionals and dissemination of results. Various target groups will benefit from the project: 40 HR and middle management representatives from 8 companies trained in Roma post-employment inclusion; Roma and non Roma employees; 30 Local Public Authorities (LPAs); 30 Local Experts for Roma trained on accessing social housing; 30 persons from 15 NGOs trained in monitoring, reporting and preventing forced evictions. Other interested local public authorities (LPAs), NGOs, companies, activists, bodies with roles in Roma inclusion and professionals from the fields of employment and housing will benefit from the project as the guides and policy recommendations will be made available on the project webpage and disseminated through a series of events. The expected results are: improved knowledge on Roma inclusion post-employment for 40 HR and middle management employees, improved knowledge of Roma employees regarding their rights and responsibilities and the organization’s rules, increased collaboration between Roma and non-Roma employees, increased capacity in implementing existing anti-discrimination legislation and policies for Roma inclusion in the field of housing for 30 LPAs, improved knowledge and competences in the field of social housing for 30 local experts for Roma, increased capacity in monitoring, reporting and preventing forced eviction cases for 15 NGOs. Three types of deliverables will be produced: 9 analytical deliverables (reports, guides, analysis), 3 trainings and 7 awareness raising deliverables.
