Description

Description

This project aims to modernize and transform the Renewable Energy specialty in West Africa by aligning capacity-building initiatives with the Strategic National Plan for Renewable Energies (PANER). The project will focus on expanding the curricula to include wind energy, biomass and hydrogen specialties, complementing the existing Photovoltaic (PV) energy program, to support Western Africa's vision of diversifying its renewable energy mix and fostering sustainable development. Moreover, an additional critical challenge to address is the low participation of women in training programs, with only 5% of trainees currently being women. The project will prioritize gender inclusivity and social equity through targeted interventions to attract, retain, and empower women in renewable energy education and careers
