Description

Description

The aim of the project is to offer children and young people improved access to basic education and high-quality early childhood development opportunities, as well as improved access to appropriate basic services, particularly in the area of food security. In addition, high-quality early childhood development opportunities will be introduced in schools on a pilot basis, and municipalities, federal governments, members of the federal state, and the government of Banadir will be strengthened in their capacities to offer integrated educational services for children and young people. By promoting basic school education, educational opportunities for young people, and innovative nutrition programs in schools, not least as an incentive for continuous school attendance, a fundamental contribution can be made to promoting the resilience of neglected children and young people in the structurally weakest region of Somalia. The strengthened skills, knowledge, and independence gained in this way enable the population to lead a healthier and more productive life and to achieve increased resilience to emergency and conflict situations.
