Description | "The ProValUE Chair, developed in collaboration with EDIEC (International, European and Comparative Law Team) which will host the Chair, and the services of the university Lyon 3, aims to - perpetuate and develop the excellence of the training on European integration, in general, and EU law, in particular, in the institution - diversify and open up training in European issues to new audiences (students not specialised in EU law, professionals, young children, civil society) to bring the EU closer to its citizens - initiate European partnerships and cooperation with the aim of creating a network of researchers on the themes covered by the Chair - support the dissemination of ProValUE actions, events and research activities on a large scale To this end, the project is based primarily on a training pillar and complementarily on a research pillar 1/ The training pillar aims to ensure better access to EU law and policies for a variety of audiences of all ages in order to strengthen the feeling of belonging to the EU This pillar includes several activities: - Initial training: improving the quality and attractiveness of EU Law for students - Continuing education: creation of an online training course ""European Expert"" for professionals (journalists, public decision-makers) - Pilot project ""Dream(s) of Europe"" to raise awareness among young children about Europe - Organisation of ""civil society"" events in the framework of the “European Week” 2/ The research pillar aims to support the research activity of experienced academics and young researchers specialised in EU Law The theme of ""Promoting and preserving the values of the EU"" will give rise to three international colloquia (with publication): - Conflicts of values in the EU (2022/2023) - Values and Citizenship in the EU (2023/2024) - Values narrative and constitutionalisation of the EU (2024/2025) A reference book on the main concepts of EU law will also be published (Presses Universitaires de France)" |
