Promotion of Erasmus+ Programme in Kyrgyzstan

The project aims to support higher education reformation agenda in Kyrgyzstan by promoting the international dimension of Erasmus+ programme in Kyrgyzstan, namely to promote components on capacity building in higher education, credit mobility, joint master degree component and Jean Monnet activities. The project will conduct its activities through establishment of National Erasmus+ Office in Kyrgyzstan, which mainly target the following stakeholders: higher educational institutions from Kyrgyzstan and other countries associated or not associated with Erasmus+ but willing to submit projects with institutions from Kyrgyzstan and students. The project aim will be implemented through three objectives: Specific objective N 1: To promote the international dimension of Erasmus+ programme at national level by conducting advisory and information support to higher educational institutions and other stakeholders. The following results have been planned: Increase of Erasmus+ outreach to regions, new topics, new priorities; Increased Number of project proposals from Kyrgyz HEIs; New priorities of Erasmus+ addressed; Increased number of CBHE project proposals submitted in 2022-2024; Number of newcomers to Erasmus+ programme; More participants from rural regions in Erasmus+ projects; Increased number of winners from Kyrgyzstan on EMJMD. Specific objective N 2: To support the team of national higher education reformation experts. The following results have been planned: Availability of a regulatory act and PhD accreditation programmes; Availability of developed updated state educational standards taking into account NQF, professional standards; Availability of implemented model of virtual mobility of teaching staff; Specific objective n 3: To improve visibility of Erasmus+ programme at national level and dissemination of best practices / case studies from Erasmus+ projects.
