Promotion of European value and European integration process of Albania

For years the main interest of the Albanian Government is Integration into the European Union. Since this process is essential for our country, there is a need for a broad involvement of all actors in society, such as public institutions at the central or local level, the private sector, civil society, universities and all other stakeholders. Therefore, the main goal of this project is to promote the active role of universities in the process of European Integration and to promote European values to stakeholders with a focus on students of the Institute of European Studies. More specifically, this project aims to expand and strengthen students' knowledge by providing comprehensive information on the process of European economic integration, with a broad focus on the economic and policy-making aspects of the EU. Currently, the teaching process in the subject European Economic Integration is based on teaching materials prepared by the lecturer of the subject according to the topics planned in the curriculum. But taking into account the changes in the conditions of the economy and the progress of our country in the European integration process, it is considered important to review and adapt these topics according to the progress, highlighting the modalities that Albania needs to change. In order to accomplish this goal, several main activities will be developed, such as updating the Module of European Economic Integration, organizing open lectures and summer school, establishment of European Integration Youth Club etc. This project is planned to last for 3 years and regarding the implementation of this project, the staff engaged in this process will monitor the realization of activities and the achievement of specific project objectives. Through this project we aim to provide not only more informed students and more involved in the European integration process of the country, but also to promote European values in our society.
