Promotion of handling of fisheries resources in the Neighbourhood region

The aim of the project is to enhance the economic efficiency of the use of fisheries´ resources of the Neighborhood region through the application of new technologies. The tasks of the project are: analysis and economic assessment of resources of cross-border water bodies; development of fish-stock database; preparation of a new technological scheme for better restocking with eel, vimba, tench and pike smolts; substantiation of project for typical growing complex of sturgeon fish and eel smolts for the polder zone in an effort to create new jobs; development of a technological complex for lifting of fish and their smolts, which are unable to exit from the polder system, into natural water reservoirs; scientific and technical substantiation of piscicultural irrigation works in cross-border spawning rivers and development of a technological scheme; preparation of technological schemes and typical projects for cleansing (deepening) of fish migration ways in deltas of spawning rivers and reconstruction of protective dikes; mounting of an incubator in closed recirculation system and development of a fish growing system (demo version of this technology); development of an international mobile scientific piscicultural laboratory for the Neighborhood region; creation of the International Center of Aquaculture and Pisciculture; presentation of new technologies and data (organization of two cooperation meetings for cross-border fisheries subjects in Kaliningrad and Rusna organization of a training session in the Kaliningrad region, holding of training tour in Lithuanian and Polish fisheries organizations, and training (workshop) in Polish partner organization - the Inland Fisheries Institute, organization of two seminars on the new technology, development of a website and a database), creation of constant long-term partnership relations and improvement of the region´s competitive abilities.
