Promotion of neighbourhood cooperation and cultural diversity between creative communities of Druskininkai and Grodno

Despite close cross-border social and economic activities, Lithuania and Belarus face a number of political and economic obstacles which impede mutual cooperation in the field of culture: visa regime, low financing assigned to informal education institutions, cultural organisations and art groups, lack of political will for development of cooperation networks. The project is aimed to promote the initiatives of Druskininkai and Grodno regional communities in developing long-standing intercultural relations between individuals and institutions of Lithuania and Belarus, establishing various sustainable cooperation networks and organising joint events.
