Description
Description | As part of the state's economic and social policy, the Ukrainian Social Investment Fund (USIF) promotes needs-based measures across the country to rehabilitate the social and economic infrastructure in rural and small-town areas (primarily schools and kindergartens, basic medical care facilities, community centers, components of water supply and sewage disposal systems, etc.). Taking into account and in addition to the activities that have already been completed or are still being carried out, further German FC funds are to be implemented for investments in the area of municipal infrastructure and associated small-scale training measures in western and central Ukraine. This project is designed as a continuation of the previous phases with largely analogous measures and procedures. The target group of the first phase of the project, as part of a stock check, is the rural population in villages and small towns with up to 50,000 inhabitants in the Lviv, Vinnytsya and Kirovohrad oblasts. The total financing requirement of the Social Infrastructure Promotion (USIF IV) project amounts to EUR 8.116 million. Financing is provided through FC grants amounting to EUR 1.2 million. EUR 7 million (commitment in 2012) and own contributions from the Ukrainian side amounting to up to EUR 1.116 million. |
