Promotion of social infrastructure (USIF VII)

Since the Ukrainian health care reform in 2018, municipalities in Ukraine have assumed financial responsibility for their primary health centers. The USIF VII project focuses on the patient-friendly and energy-efficient renovation of the premises, as well as the supply of medical equipment for the primary health centers. The original target oblasts were Kharkiv, Dnepr, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk and Donetsk. Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Donetsk, Luhansk and parts of the Zaporizhzhia oblast are no longer part of the project region. The target oblasts Kharkiv and Dnepr remain. The module goal of the energy-efficient renovation of health centers is also taken up by the Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the World Bank (WB). The project sponsor is the Ukrainian Social Investment Fund (USIF).
