Description

Description

The Madeleine Vionnet High School is a vocational secondary school located in Bondy. It offers a diverse range of training programs in Fashion Professions, Administrative Management, and Personal Care Services. The school also includes two classes of Higher National Diploma (BTS) in Fashion Professions - Garments, a Complementary Local Initiative Training (FCIL), and a CAP Early Childhood training program in partnership with GRETA. Since September 2022, the school has opened a European section class in English within the Fashion Professions - Garments program, providing students with enhanced language training and cultural enrichment. Currently, the European second-year class consists of 14 students, while the first-year class has 24 students. The school serves a total of 405 secondary students and 53 higher education students, with most young women (85% of the total student body). More than half of the students (208) receive financial aid, reflecting a socio-economic context that requires particular support to ensure their success and broaden their horizons. The main goal of this project is to culturally open students to Europe and strengthen their sense of belonging to this shared space through specific courses, educational projects, and immersive excursions. By raising students' awareness of European values, cultures, and institutions, the project aims to expand their perspectives and enhance their employability in a globalized world. The proposed activities target all students at the vocational school, with a special focus on the European classes. These activities include: • Enhanced teaching on European themes (history, institutions, cultures). • Educational trips (visits to the European Parliament in Strasbourg or Brussels, museums related to European history). • Workshops and conferences led by experts specializing in European or intercultural issues.
