Description
Description | DC BLOX plans to build a data center near the Nashville Zoo, which has raised significant concerns among zoo leaders, neighbors, and city officials about potential impacts on animals and energy use. The project has faced community pushback, including a petition with over 500,000 signatures. The Nashville Metro Council advanced legislation to regulate future data centers and temporarily pause approval of new projects. The city plans to pursue acquisition of the property through eminent domain. DC BLOX has expressed willingness to reduce noise, limit water usage, and consider scaling down the project to address concerns, but the Nashville Zoo remains opposed due to location and transparency issues. |
