Proposed Data Center near Nashville Zoo

proposed

DC BLOX plans to build a data center near the Nashville Zoo, which has raised significant concerns among zoo leaders, neighbors, and city officials about potential impacts on animals and energy use. The project has faced community backlash, a petition with over 500,000 signatures, and legislative efforts to regulate data centers and pause new approvals. The city plans to pursue property acquisition through eminent domain. DC BLOX is willing to reduce noise, limit water usage, and consider scaling down the project to address concerns, but the zoo remains opposed due to location and transparency issues.
