Proposed Data Center Near Nashville Zoo

planned

DC BLOX plans to build a data center near the Nashville Zoo, which has raised concerns among zoo leaders, neighbors, and city officials about potential impacts on animals and energy use. The project has faced community pushback, including a petition with over 500,000 signatures and legislative efforts to regulate data centers and pause new approvals. The city plans to pursue property acquisition through eminent domain, and DC BLOX is considering reducing noise, limiting water usage, and scaling down the project to address concerns.
