Description
Description | The project involves the construction of an international cricket stadium at Chomp village near Jaipur, Rajasthan. It was envisioned as the world's third-largest stadium with a seating capacity of 75,000. The construction was planned in two phases: the first phase with a capacity of 45,000 spectators to be completed within 24 months, followed by expansion to full capacity in the second phase. The foundation stone was laid on February 5, 2022, during the Congress government. However, the project has been stalled with no visible progress even after 36 months, allegedly due to negligence by the BJP government. |
