Protecting our future: Flood mitigation and physical, economic, social and cultural resilience for historic downtown Brampton, on by reconstructing 600M of the concrete Etobicoke Creek bypass channel

The Project seeks to reduce the risk of future flooding events of the City of Brampton’s downtown core through new construction, rehabilitation and expansion of 12 existing assets, mainly the widening and deepening of the Etobicoke Creek Bypass Channel. Once complete, the Project is expected to increase conveyance capacity of the Etobicoke Creek, to increase passage, and to allow floodwaters to drain more efficiently during storm events.
