Description | The overall objective of the project is to contribute to the effective and coherent application of EU law, especially with regard to the implementation of mutual recognition instruments in the field of judicial cooperation by increasing the correct and consistent understanding of the fundamental rights environment in the EU Area of Freedom, Security and Justice. The project seeks to achieve this objective through developing sustainable training practices addressing the needs of justice professionals across the EU by providing a hands-on training on the scope and application of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union (EU Charter) and the General Data Protection Regulation from the perspective of the rights protected by these comprehensive instruments by putting them into specific contexts relevant for the judiciary. Activities: • 1 Kick-off Meeting in Luxembourg and 2 Steering Committee Meetings b/b with the events in Vilnius/Madrid • 2 Asynchronous Introductory digital learning modules for an unlimited number of participants, translated into the 4 languages of the project. • 6 one-day Advanced training events, for up to 25 participants, organised in a hybrid and b/b format, to be held in Luxembourg, Vilnius and Madrid and interpreted into the languages of the project. • Project evaluation: incl. quality evaluation and impact and effectiveness evaluation of all of the activities • Project dedicated webpage on www.eipa.eu hosting the training materials/digital content. Type and number of persons benefiting from the project: 350+ legal practitioners participating in the training series and falling within the target group. Expected results: strengthening of the principles of mutual trust and mutual recognition, thus contributing to the increased understanding of the fundamental rights/rule of law context in which EU judicial cooperation operates. |
