Description | In January 1994, Road King Infrastructure signed a 15 year joint venture contract for the operation of the Zhongshan Shiqi-Jiangmen Highway in Guangdong Province. The road is a 26.5-km class II highway. Road King received a 75% share in the project and 75% of toll revenues in return for an investment of HK$ 78 milliion (US$ 10.1 million). Road King's toll income increased 13.3% from 1996 to 1997; it has increased every year since Road King took over in 1994. Road King funds its project from internally generated funds and long term debt. This includes a US$ 138 million syndicated loan and US$ 140 million 10-year fixed rate notes arranged in 1997. In June 2003, Road King completed the disposal of its intire interest in the Zhongshan highway project for HK$63 million. Can't find who the stake was sold to! |
