Description | Road King Infrastructure signed a 20-year joint venture agreement for the construction and maintenance of the Provincial Highway Huanggu Route (with Xiaodian Fenhe Bridge) in May 1997. The construction of the road was completed in early 1998, but Road King would not invest in the project until toll collection started at the end of 1998. The official joint venture starting date is January 1, 1999 (Road King holds 25% of the joint-venture shares). Road King funds its project from internally generated funds and long term debt. This includes a US$ 138 million syndicated loan and US$ 140 million 10-year fixed rate notes arranged in 1997.
