Information Department of Telecommunications [DoT] has come up with Provision of 4G based mobile services in 7,287 uncovered villages of 44 Aspirational District across 5 states of Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra & Odisha with a ticket size of 3685 INR Crores. This project in Telecommunication & Telecom Services sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Not Applicable Economic/Social Impact of the Project The Scheme has been planned for provisioning of 4G based Mobile service in 7287 uncovered villages of 44 Aspirational Districts of 5 States Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra and Odisha with an estimated cost Rs. 6466 Crore. Agreements have been signed with M/s RJIL for the State of Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh & Odisha and with M/s BAL for the State of Jharkhand and Maharashtra on 20.05.2022 at the cost of Rs 3,684.8 crore [Rs 847.95 with M/s BAL + Rs 2836.84 with M/s RJIL]. Till September 2023, survey of 6,634 villages have been completed and 637 mobile sites have been commissioned covering 1007 villages.
