Description | Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) has requested approval for an expanded power project valued at more than $1.2 billion. The project includes eight different proposed generation resources: three wind resources, three battery energy storage system resources, and two natural gas resources, totaling 1,200 MW. The project aims to meet Oklahoma's growing energy needs through grid upgrades, advanced technologies, and smart tools to reduce outages and improve service. PSO is also seeking the use of Construction Work in Progress (CWIP) for the addition of two new natural-gas powered generators and a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at the Oologah power plant site, pending resolution of a rezoning denial lawsuit. |
