Pt Chevalier to Westmere Improvements

The purpose of this project is to address an infrastructure deficit and improve accessibility through the provision of a network of cycle facility where key gaps are identified. Provision of a uni- directional cycleway on Pt Chev Rd from GNR to Meola Rd intersections and a bi- directional cycleway for the length of Meola Rd, to Garnet Rd where the cycleway ends at the raised crossing at the Westmere shops. Additionally, the inclusion of other safety and upgrade projects with this delivery, in order to prioritise and optimise investment in this area, including raised table crossings/ inclusion of a roundabout at Meola Rd intersection with Pt Chev/ inclusion of a bus lane on Pt Chev road near GNR. Included in the project are: - the stormwater separation works along Pt Chevalier Rd on behalf of AC Healthy Waters - undergrounding of electrical and communication cables along Meola Rd (west) on behalf of Vector and Chorus respectively.
