Description | PT Supreme Energy and International Power-GDF SUEZ were planning the development of the 220MW Muara Laboh geothermal plant, South Lampung Regency, 60km South East of Padang, West Sumatera Province. The project was to consist of 2 units of 110MW. The developers received the concession following a tender in 2010. On March 2nd, 2012, a 30 year PPA was signed between Perusahan Listrik Negara (PLN) and the developers, which included a Guarantee Letter. Civil construction and exploration drilling started in March 2012. In September 2012, the first Exploration well drilling ML-A1 was conducted, a series of 4-6 drilling exploration wells. Exploration drilling is expected to last 6-9 months. The Environmental permit, location permit, water use permit and business license, as well electricity supply license were acquired.
