Description | The Second Power Project will help meet power demand to the end of 1974. It will consist of procurement, installation and commissioning of the fourth hydrogenerating unit at Mount Coffee (for which the civil works were included in the project financed under the earlier loan); and the improvement and expansion of the transmission and distribution system in the Monrovia area. The total cost of the project is estimated to be $6.4 million, of which the Bank loan will finance the external costs of $4.7 million, or 73 percent of project cost. |
