"The educational program ""State Audit"" have been established and designed in cooperation with the Supreme Audit Institution in Kazakhstan. In order to better integrate theory and practice, we have branches of the Department (Chair) of State Audit at three external partner organizations: - at the Centre on Research of Financial Violations of the Accounts Committee; - at the Committee of the Internal Public Audit of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan; - at the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan. These organizations also offer opportunities for internships for the students. We believe that this opportunity can help to fulfill one of the main requests of the Jean Monnet program: organizing activities and events that shall ensure openness to policy makers, civil servants, civil society and the general public at large. In addition, all the State Audit study programs (bachelor, master, PhD) have been accredited by the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA) in 2019. FIBAA is a nationally as well as internationally experienced agency for quality assurance (recognized as a quality assurance agency in Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Austria). The aims of this project: 1) teaching courses related to the European Union’s financial management, public finance and audit methodology and practice at all levels (bachelor-master-PhD) and conducting research in the field of public audit. 2) contributing to the policy making process at the national level through studying the EU methodology and conducting joint research projects with the public audit organizations; 3) promoting EU audit practices as an example of best practice in relation to public accountability within the society."
