The Public Finance Management Reform Project for Uzbekistan aims to improve transparency and accountability of public finances, and to strengthen institutional capacity to use public resources more effectively, efficiently and transparently, in line with Government priorities. The project has the following components: Component 1) will improve overall expenditure control, and intersectoral resource allocation. Component 2) will finance consulting services, goods and training for the modernization of treasury operations through the implementation of a Government Financial Management Information System (GFMIS). Component 3) consists of Change management and training to support the establishment of the Treasury. Component 4) will finance the costs of the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) staff (including PIU director, Procurement specialist, Accountant, Financial Management Specialist, Treasury/IT expert, and translator/office manager).
