The municipality of Canoas is constantly growing and developing and to monitor and meet these evolutionary processes, important investments in urban infrastructure are necessary. To this end, the municipal administration began the process of Public-Private Partnerships, with Public Lighting being the first to be structured. The Public-Private Partnership for Public Lighting (PPP IP), was structured and modeled with BNDES and aims to provide services related to the modernization, efficiency, expansion, operation and maintenance of the infrastructure of the municipal Public Lighting network, in addition to implementation of an Operational Control Center, which will make the service provided to citizens more efficient, agile and decisive. The IP PPP will be in the form of an administrative concession, that is, it is not a privatization of Public Lighting services, as the Municipality will remain responsible for all management and supervision of the services provided by the private company and the assets, after the end of the concession, will remain for the Municipality, as a legacy of technology and innovation to the Canoenses.
