The objective of the present applicatThe objective of the present application is to complete the financing to cover the development needs of the audiovisual works included in the mini-slate in order to succeed in the development and be able to take the projects to the production stage. The number of people involved in the development of the audiovisual projects included in the mini-slate project is around forty and include the creative team, the production team, as well as other external services as casting agencies, location managers, etc. The present mini-slate consists of three projects and PubRes (Slovakia) is the main producer in all of them: 1) CONVICTIONS: Four episode TV mini-series. It is a historical political drama set in Communist Czechoslovakia and based in the autobiographical book written by Jo Langer. The series brings us a female point of view about Totalitarism. The mini-series is a confirmed co-production between Slovakia, Czech Republic and Hungary, with broadcasters from Slovakia and Czech Republic already attached to the project. 2) BACKYARD: Fiction Feature Film. It is an Author film by screenwriter/director Martin Repka. The film is set entirely in a backyard in between block buildings in Bratislava, and it tell the story of Ada, who comes back to the Backyard where he grew up and spent all his life after seven years in prison. This is an original project that is even more current and relevant after having lived the lockdowns provoked by Covid-19. The project is a confirmed co-production with Czech Republic and Austria. 3) CAUTION, RISK OF FALLING EXHIBITS! Documentary feature film. The film has as a main topic the ten years of reconstruction of the Slovak National Gallery, and that is still ongoing. At the same time it tells a personal family story international audiences will relate to. The project is a Slovak production with international distribution potential and it has been chosen by PubRes to open ways to first time directors.
