Description | The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is upgrading more than two dozen highway traffic signals in Pueblo by installing new traffic signal backplates at 27 locations to improve driver safety. The backplates enhance visibility by providing higher contrast around the signal heads, reducing sun glare, and increasing signal recognition from a distance. The project targets highways including Interstate 25 ramps, Eagleridge Boulevard, U.S. Highway 50A and 50B, Colorado Highway 45, and Colorado Highway 96A. Work hours are generally from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. with limited traffic impacts expected. The project is expected to be completed by mid-August 2026. |
