Description

The proposed investment in Holding Montealban SA de CV ( “Puertas Finas” or the “Company”) will be in the form of an A Loan to support the Company’s strategic investments from 2012 to 2016 (the “Project”). The Project is comprised by three elements: (i) capex program; consisting of the purchase and installation of new equipment and the upgrade of existing machinery, (ii) working capital requirements to support revenue growth; and (iii) short term debt refinancing.The Company, an existing IFC client, is the largest player in Mexico within its sector. Puertas Finas' three main divisions are doors, contract woodwork, and plywood. Puertas Finas is one of the limited sources of manufacturing jobs in two of the poorest states in Mexico: Oaxaca and Guerrero, both considered frontier states. It is the largest employer in the city of Oaxaca and currently employs directly about 1,265 people and through its expansion it is expected to generate additional 100 direct jobs.
