The project involves the development, construction and operation of 151 MW wind farm, located in Puerto Madryn, Chubut, Argentina. Puerto Madryn II is the second stage of the Parque Eolico Madryn Wind Farm (PEMAD). The first stage 71MW Puerto Madryn I is already in operation and with the addition of the second stage, the farm will reach a total of 222MW. The produced energy will be sold to CAMMESA for a period of 20 years and will be able to power more than 200,000 homes per year and reduce approximately 351,000 tons of CO2 emissions per year. Sponosor is Genneia. The total project cost is expected to reach $ 200 million. Argentina's development bank BICE and Santander (Argentina) each provided $ 10 million. It is stated that the syndicated loan can reach $ 70 million.
