The project is intended to manage the alleged discharges of Trichloroethylene (TCE) to the Jacques-Cartier River. Practices related to the use of TCE, a popular industrial solvent, by the federal government and private sector organizations between 1940 and 1990 in the Valcartier area resulted in the presence of this substance in the groundwater, a major concern for human health. |
