Description | The project involves land acquisition for the proposed international airport in Purandar, Pune. Compensation disbursement to landowners is planned based on a state notification under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition Act. The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) is providing financial provisions and will onboard credit institutions for funding. A special purpose vehicle (SPV) will be created to start the developer onboarding process for the greenfield airport on a design-build-operate model. The airport requires 1,285 hectares of land across several villages in Purandar, with over 95% landowner consent obtained. |
