Description
Description | Project will supply and on-site install a GridBee GS-12-120v Submersible Mixer, including GS-Series Control Panel (with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system capability) in the floor of the tank at the Saugeen composite tower, which is Saugeen’s only water tower. This will eliminate ice damage, improve energy efficiency, reduce nitrification, as well as prevent stagnation, thermal stratification and short-circuiting. This initiative will immediately benefit the 2400 non-Native cottagers who lease land on Saugeen as well as Saugeen community members. The Nation will be able to provide certainty in water quality and delivery during high tourist season. This will improve service for over 800 Band members. This project will provide long term benefits for all members by continually assuring the safety and quality of our water tower and water system on a daily basis and moreover in emergency situations and continued assurance of reduced burden on the province’s health care system. |
