Description
Description | This project involves purchasing 8 diesel city buses ranging from 28 to 32 feet in length (commonly referred to as 30-foot diesel city midibuses). These midibuses will enable us to better serve certain areas that do not require 40-foot vehicles and where the type of operations does not permit optimal use of hybrid vehicles (e.g., routes with few stops/starts or high commercial speed). In addition, these diesel midibuses are not only accessible to clients with impaired mobility, but their fuel consumption and GHG emissions are similar to those of a 40-foot hybrid bus at half the cost. |
