Purchase of Long Range Battery Electric Bus

• The scope of the project includes the purchase of one electric bus, installation of bus depot charging and plug-in equipment, and ancillary equipment including a farebox, GPS equipment, passenger counter, and on-board cameras. • The project will improve the capacity of the public transit system in Kingston by providing 4,000 hours of revenue service. It will also increase access to clean energy transportation and allow Kingston to develop a better understanding of battery electric bus technology. • The project will result in improved capacity, quality and safety of, and, access to clean energy public transit in Kingston, Ontario.
