Purchase of Six Used Diesel Vehicles to Replace Existing Fleet

This project consists of the purchase of six (6) used diesel buses as replacements for the existing aging diesel fleet in transit service in the capital area. The scope of the work will include procurement of 6 used 35’ diesel buses to replace 6, 40’ buses that have reached then end of their life span. The aim of the project (phase 2 of a 4-phase plan) is ensure that transit service will not be affected during the procurement of electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, and the construction of the new transit maintenance and storage facility in Phases 3 and 4 of the project. By buying used diesel vehicles, this limits additional new diesel bus purchases required to maintain current demand for the transit system.
